We all arrived back to Santiago to where the preparations were in full gear for the premiere. Of course, we took advantage of the morning in the town to do last minute souvenir shopping and spend time to hug the Apostol Santiago a final time. We were united with our driver, Perry Vieito of Albergue San Jose in Negreira, midday to go back to one our first stops on the tour – Ponte Maceira.

Personally, Ponte Maceira was one of the most beautiful places I have seen on any part of the Camino – and to be able to break bread a final time there was no exception. This was another must-see, must-stop along the Way – as was being able to dine listening to the water of the Rio (River) Tambre. Chef Marcelo Negreira prepared a literal feast for us that highlighted many of the dishes we loved throughout the week. We were all surprised with a beautiful souvenir book from Teofilo Comunicación to remember our Way, and it amazingly captured the beauty and love we found throughout Galicia throughout its pages.

Our day only continued to get better as we returned to Santiago for the Euroepean premiere of Walking the Camino. It was magical to experience the film in Santiago de Compostela. The premiere was a wonderful success and the Hotel Monumento San Francisco and team of the Festival Camino Santiago Cine y TV were impeccable in their help and ease with the event. We had many past and present supporters come and friends from all over the world literally there to end this perfect day and amazing week.
